Experience
Applications Developer
The Arnold Companies (TAC) · Dallas, TX · Apr 2024 – Present
- Delivered 7+ production .NET (8/9/10) Web APIs and a Quartz.NET workflow platform with realtime SignalR, all behind fully automated Azure DevOps CI/CD and centralized Kong API Gateway auth (JWT, ACL, CORS) over Active-Directory-validated, RBAC-aware sessions.
- Built and maintain a React, Vite, and TypeScript sales app used weekly by 20+ account managers; integrated Pipedrive's API to sync deal data into our SQL Server database behind the internal .NET Web APIs the app reads from.
- Rolled out an Angular Nx micro-frontend platform with Module Federation and a realtime scheduler dashboard.
- Migrated a 24/7 VB.NET WinForms data-automation scheduler off Sybase to SQL Server — rewriting 8 ERP-sync jobs and refactoring 10 stored procedures with table-valued parameters and bulk logic that cut the main sync from over two hours to under five minutes.
- Hardened that scheduler for crash-free runs of a system moving data company-wide for 200+ employees across reporting, pricing, invoicing, EFT payments, BOL imports, third-party feeds, and automated alerts.
- Use AI tooling daily — chat-assisted coding and direct agentic workflows with Codex and Claude Code — to ship features faster.

Selected Projects
UrbanKit Studio — Founder & Developer
urbankitstudio.com · Personal venture · 2026 – Present
- Designed, built, and run a free, browser-based suite of five GIS and mailing tools for urban planners and local government, all processed client-side. The flagship buffers an address, pulls parcel owners from county ArcGIS REST layers, and exports mailing lists as CSV or Avery 5160 labels.
- Published @urbankitstudio/atlas, a TypeScript SDK on npm for the county parcel atlas (dual ESM/CJS, full types, zero runtime deps), and host a public MCP server exposing six parcel/geocoding tools over JSON-RPC.
Autonomous Claude Code Engine
Personal project · Versioned agentic development system · 2025 – Present
- Built a versioned, idempotent engine that turns Claude Code into a safe autonomous development system on a three-layer architecture: a compact control-plane config, structured multi-file working memory, and an Obsidian knowledge base.
- 13 custom specialized subagents and lifecycle hooks that auto-run pre-push reviews and persist memory; parallel multi-agent orchestration via agent teams and goal-gated self-running loops, controlled from a custom Discord bridge under a tiered permission model.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to apply for the software engineering role on your team. I am a full-stack engineer who builds and ships production software end to end, and I am drawn to teams that value ownership, clean delivery, and steady improvement of the systems they run.
For the past two years I have worked as an Applications Developer at The Arnold Companies, doing hands-on work on a lean team that ships. I have delivered more than seven production .NET Web APIs and a Quartz.NET workflow platform with realtime SignalR, all behind fully automated Azure DevOps pipelines and centralized Kong API Gateway authentication over Active-Directory-validated, RBAC-aware sessions. On the front end, I built a React and TypeScript sales app now used weekly by more than twenty account managers, backed by a Pipedrive integration that syncs deal data into our own database, and I rolled out an Angular micro-frontend platform with a realtime scheduler dashboard. I am also proud of migrating a 24/7 data-automation scheduler off Sybase to SQL Server, cutting the main sync from over two hours to under five minutes and making a system that moves data for the whole company far more reliable.
Before this I spent time across the .NET stack in several settings. At QuikTrip I built and supported web, desktop, and console applications that shipped to more than a thousand stores with a perfect rollout record. At Microsoft I was an Azure Support Engineer III on the PaaS Developer Pod, debugging hard messaging and networking problems for clients across three regions at a 99.9 percent service level. Earlier roles at the Center for Advanced Public Safety and AIC Title Service had me building full-stack applications for state agencies and healthcare, including a HIPAA-compliant e-signature platform I built on my own.
I also spend real time with AI and agentic tooling, and I think it is changing how good engineers work. I use ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, and Claude Code every day, and I have built and maintain my own versioned engine on top of Claude Code that turns it into a safe autonomous development system. It runs on a three-layer architecture — a compact control-plane config, a structured working memory, and an Obsidian knowledge base — with 13 custom specialized agents and lifecycle hooks that auto-run pre-push reviews and persist memory across sessions. I drive parallel multi-agent work through agent teams and self-running loops, all under a tiered permission model, and control it from my phone through a custom Discord bridge.
Outside of work I design, build, and run UrbanKit Studio (urbankitstudio.com), a free, browser-based set of GIS and mailing tools for urban planners and local government that runs entirely client-side. I built it end to end and have grown it past the website: I published a TypeScript SDK on npm for the underlying county parcel data, and I built and host a public MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client query that data directly. I also write the SEO content that now brings in steady organic search traffic.
My background includes an ABET-accredited Computer Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Magna Cum Laude with the Computer Science Outstanding Graduate Award, plus a Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals credential. I would welcome the chance to talk about how I can contribute to your team. You can reach me at ryong1@uco.edu or (405) 738-2628, and more of my work is at leoyrh.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,Leo Yong
